As the year comes to a close, we thought this would be perfect timing to review the technological developments here at TrueFire over the past year. We’ve recently launched many new learning tools and initiatives that you should be aware of. Plus, there are a few key new initiatives that will launch very shortly, all of which open up new revenue-generating opportunities for you and your fellow TrueFire artists and educators.

The rapid migration of music education to the online world sparks many new opportunities for music educators. TrueFire’s mission, and challenge, is crystal clear — we must stay on top of the technological trends in this space, provide our artists and educators with as many opportunities as possible to be successful, and continue to provide students with high quality educational content from the world’s top educators.

This has been a very productive year for us. We’ve introduced or updated many student-facing learning tools and platforms. You’re likely aware of most of these, but here’s a quick summary just to be sure…

  • Responsive Website Redesign: Course marketing materials, samples, and streaming lessons can now be viewed proportionately within any sized display, on any desktop, mobile, tablet, or TV device.
  • New Desktop App: This new app facilitates instant downloads and helps students organize their courses and work with lessons more efficiently.
New iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Android Apps: Combined with our desktop app, these mobile and TV apps, empower students to work with TrueFire course material anywhere, anytime, online or offline, on any device.
  • Expanded Student Toolset: We’ve enhanced the learning experience with Playlists (public and private), Progress Tracking, and Soundslice (interactive tab, fretboard view, slo-mo, and looping).
  • Student Dashboard: The dashboard centrally locates the student’s course library, favorites, jams, recommendations, workshops, classrooms, and all other relevant tools and account information.
  • Riff, our new ad-free magazine: Riff celebrates TrueFire artists and educators by featuring interviews, articles written by educators and staff, and lessons that students won’t find anywhere else.

Student response has been overwhelmingly positive, and while these tools certainly enhance the student’s learning experience, they also help pave new channels, formats, and marketing approaches for TrueFire educators’ lessons and courses. Keep your eyes peeled for these new ways and let us know which you are keen to explore together!
