While the Riff headquarters is located in Florida so we can’t complain about winter freezes or arctic blasts, there is always a sense of regeneration come spring. This year is no different. With that, this issue of Riff feels extra special (OK, they all feel special), but this one has some new faces, voices and topics for our readers that we are pleased to present to you.
Visit with Henry Johnson and Stephen Mougin, both new to TrueFire’s artist and educator faculty. We think you’ll find them both cool guys to get to know. Adam Levy sits down with Shane Theriot. For those of you “in the know” these sessions are always an awesome listen. If you’re new to Riff Riff, this podcast will likely be your new favorite audio hang. Johnny Hiland gives us the inside scoop on his new axe. For many of you, it may be a new name in gear, which is infinitely exciting to learn about.
We dig deep with some extra lesson content: Kelly Richey, Robbie Calvo, Brooks Robertson and Rob Garland all took time out of their busy schedules to present lesson content that will inspire you and dust the wintery cobwebs off your guitar chops. Blues, fingerstyle, improvisation and soloing…need we say more?
So don’t be shy. Dig in and let the issue speak to you this spring!
